Maja is a visual artist exploring deep-rooted beliefs about history and its preservation. In her work, spaces occupy the roles of sentient entities that uncover hidden heritages, opening portals to imagined futures. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 2024, she was nominated for the OHO Young Visual Artist Award. She is the recipient of the Ad Futura scholarship fund.
